WHAT IS SPEARHEAD 

Spearhead is a new game format for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar where you use self-contained, existing boxes of miniatures to play fast and furious games with streamlined rules and nail-biting finishes.

WHAT IS LEAGUE PLAY

It's casual, regular play for participants to learn the game, show off (or find) their hobby skills, and meet new folks. 

From August 10th through September 7th participants play up to 16 games to earn points for prizes and giveaways awarded after the one-day finale event which will be scheduled for mid-September.

This format encourages participants to build the Warhammer community with less focus on maximizing a win/loss ratio.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY

Each participant needs a fully assembled force comprised of the models in a Spearhead (or Vanguard) box. Reasonable conversion (or proxy) models are acceptable. Painted models are not required, but are definitely encouraged and earn players more points per game.

Players are NOT restricted to using a single Spearhead for this league. Switching it up is encouraged!

RULES

Each game will be played according ot the Fire & Jade Spearhead rules including the twist (objective), battle tactics decks, and game mat found in either the Fire & Jade Gaming Pack or Skaventide box. Victory Pints has a copy for in-store use.

Games played outside of Victory Pints rely on one of the participants providing the twist, battle tactics decks, and game mat.

HOW DO I EARN LEAGUE POINTS

Players earn:

• 1 Point for Attending the Learn to Play

• 1 Point for Registering for the Spearhead League

• 1 Point for Playing a Game

• 1 Point for Winning a Game (For ties, no player wins)

• 1 Point for Playing with a Battle-Ready Spearhead * 

• 1 Point for Playing a New Opponent

• X Points for Attending the Finale Event (Points TBD Pending Participation)

* A Battle-Ready Spearhead is defined as a painted army with all models having at least three different colors (each section being based, washed, and highlighted or painted with contrast paint).

Players may count a maximum of 12 games over the course of the league and only 2 games against the same opponent. More games can be played of course, but not for additional points. 

To earn points all games must be logged by one of the players using the Google form below.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS

Prizes and giveaways are TBD pending participation.

SCHEDULING GAMES

Players are responsible for finding opponents and scheduling games. 

Games may be played at Victory Pints or other locations at the players' discretion. Reservations are not required, but highly encouraged for games played at Victory Pints, to guarantee space for your session.

Communication via the Victory Pints Discord server is a great place to connect with folks and find opponents. There is a specific thread for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar (wh-age-of-sigmar).

IS THERE A COST TO REGISTER

Registration is required, but playing in the league is free (not including any table reservation fees to guarantee table space for games played at Victory Pints). The finale event in mid-September will have a cost of $20 per player.
