It is a time of war and strife in feudal Japan. The line of emperors has grown weak, and petty warlords openly attack and pillage the neighboring clans. With each battle, the clans drift further apart, and unification is but a distant memory in the hearts of the people. To unify the clans once more, one leader must rise above the rest. Will that leader be you?

Age of War is a quick-playing game of conquest. Fourteen cards are laid out at the start of the game, each showing one castle and the symbols required to conquer this castle, with the symbols separated into battle lines.

Each card is worth a number of victory points. When the last card is claimed, players tally their points, and whoever has the highest score wins.
